Feature and Follow #2

This is my second time participating, ya'll! Yay! (Very spread out participation, but hey, I can never remember when it's Friday. I even forget about ARCycling.)

This week's question is....

When you step out of your USUAL genre what do you like to read? Best books in that genre?

I don't very often step out of my favorite genre, (I'm a creature of habit) but when I do, it's pretty shocking. Because I review YA, that's what I devote my time to, and I'd say it's my favorite genre. But it has so many different sub-genres that I'm also never bored. When I've read Adult books, though, my favorites have been Water for Elephants, The Sugar Queen, The Queen of Babble series, Stardust, and The Princess Bride. I'm not much for any other genre, though. Maybe I should be. *thinks about it* Nah....

Have you voted yet? ;)

  5. The Princess Bride is one of my favourites from when I was a kid. I agree, though; it's hard to step out, especially if you enjoy it so much. Happy Friday!

  7. I love your blog design; so pretty! I've been meaning to read Water for Elephants and the Princess Bride for forever, but it's so hard to stray from YA when there's so many good books out (and coming out).

  8. I wasn't a huge fan of Stardust. I know lots of people love it, but I was meh about it. I liked some of the twists at the end, but overall - meh.

I actually liked the movie Stardust more than the book. I know! It is crazy.

    1. Haha, I really, really hated the movie until I started thinking of it as not being related to the book at all. ;)

  10. I know what you mean. I really love YA, and since there's a lot of sub-genres to explore, I don't get bored of it. I also read adult fiction too though! :)
