Supernaturally(Paranormalcy #2) by Kiersten White

Evie finally has the normal life she’s always longed for. But she’s shocked to discover that being ordinary can be . . . kind of boring. Just when Evie starts to long for her days at the International Paranormal Containment Agency, she’s given a chance to work for them again. Desperate for a break from all the normalcy, she agrees.

But as one disastrous mission leads to another, Evie starts to wonder if she made the right choice. And when Evie’s faerie ex-boyfriend Reth appears with devastating revelations about her past, she discovers that there’s a battle brewing between the faerie courts that could throw the whole supernatural world into chaos. The prize in question? Evie herself.

So much for normal.

My Thoughts/Review:

Evie, Evie, Evie. You never learn. Thing's aren't always as they seem. Such as....Jack. Or immortality. (I cannot think that word without an Epic scene from the movie Troy playing through my head.) So I really enjoyed this book, again, because of the characters. I love how this author can just make you wish that you could meet these characters, and hang out with them. Lend and Evie's relationship was a little more toned down in this one, because Lend has gone off to college, and isn't home as often,so when they do see each other, it's like Evie's overwhelmed with guilt because she hasn't told him that he's immortal yet. I'll admit though, I was really crushing on Jack through the first half of the book. Then I kind of stopped about the middle, when it became obvious that things are not always what they seem. You'll have to read it to find out what I mean. One thing that was different from the first book was that it started out just a tad bit slower. It didn't hurt it at all though, because the characters are just as funny as you remember them, and even, sometimes, funnier.

                                                                 Favorite Quote:
Jack laughed at my attempts to avoid being felt up by a mythical beast. "Apparently you're a virgin."
"Shut up! Like that's any of your business!"
He shrugged, the motion less effective upside down. "Unicorns love maidens. Haven't you done any research at all?"
