Prophecy of the Sisters(Prophecy of the Sisters #1) by Michelle Zink

An ancient prophecy divides two sisters-

One good...

One evil...

Who will prevail?

Twin sisters Lia and Alice Milthorpe have just become orphans. They have also become enemies. As they discover their roles in a prophecy that has turned generations of sisters against each other, the girls find themselves entangled in a mystery that involves a tattoo-like mark, their parents' deaths, a boy, a book, and a lifetime of secrets.

Lia and Alice don't know whom they can trust.

They just know they can't trust each other.

My Thoughts/Review:

Well. That was interesting. In a slightly psychotic, completely strange kind of way. Lia is a good character, but why do I get the feeling that she's the evil one? No reason, I guess. Now, Lia was in a relationship with a boy, James, but they didn't really have any chemistry, or a real love story, at all. I guess it's not such a bad thing, if you're wanting to focus more on the 'supernatural' part of the story, but it could've added to it. Not made the reader want to quit reading in the middle so much.

The plot moves so slow that it's barely there, and you forget about it in your mindless rovings to get through the book, until it suddenly throws something at you. Something you didn't expect at all, but kind shocked you out of your stupidity. For about three minutes. Then we're right back where we started.  Because it was slooowww. Have I said that yet? I believe I have.

Alice has all the cards.
Alice has power I do not.
And worst of all, Alice knows how to use her power to her aid and my detriment, without consequence.
