Book Haul #5: In which Megan realizes the awful truth.

Let's see what we have today-- but I just have one thing to say first. IT HAS COME TO MY ATTENTION that I'm taking in more books than I could ever read. Think, if I continue to get books at this rate, I have no future of finishing them all. Think about that. o_O

Stolen Nights by Rebecca Maizel (Requested)
Real Mermaids Don't Need High Heels by Helene Boudreau (Blog Tour)
As I Wake by Sarah DiCello (Accepted Review Pitch)
As I Close My Eyes by Sarah DiCello (Accepted Review Pitch)
Embrace by Jessica Shirvington (Traded for)
Little Women and Me by Lauren Baratz-Logsted (Traded for)
The Morganville Vampires Vol. 1 by Rachel Caine (Traded for)
The Brides of Rollrock Island by Margo Lanagan (Won)

So, that's my haul for this week! Link me up to your haul, give me a play-by-play, whatever. A BIG thanks goes to St. Martin's Press, Sourcebooks, Sarah DiCello, Nicole at Paperback Princess, Sierra at Yearning to Read, and Lisa at Turning Pages.

  1. You own them all now? I'm more of a library person but weather has meant I've been holed in with my ebooks! :D

    1. I'm a bit confused...do what now? I have a lot of books, and I was saying that if they keep coming to me at this rate I have no future of reading them all. I used to be a library person too...but I have no reason to go now. Happy reading! (:

  2. Another reason I adore Megan: she says "do what now?" So Southern! I say it too! Lol! :) Get to reading, girl. You can Send me what you don't want because I've somehow ended up with NOTHING to read at the moment. It's awful!

    1. LOL. You're so sweet. I will! I've been reading a lot lately-- trying to catch up. But I've been getting more review requests lately too, so it totally just keeps growing and growing...LOL. How is it that you have NOTHING to read? LOL. Maybe I will. ;)

  4. That's always a depressing thought. Especially when you think of how many books out there you really, really want to read and might not ever get to read them-I'm working myself up here. *Relax* LOL. I think I'm in the denial stage where I still can convince myself that I will somehow read that many. Anyway, great books this week, enjoy them!

    1. EXACTLY. There are so many books out there that I want to read SO badly, yet never will. :( LOL. I'm kind of in that stage too-- until I start thinking about how many books I take in per week in comparison to how many I read...gah. It's pretty bad. But I love it. ;)

    1. I'm glad that I'm not the only one! It's a bit depressing, though. You know what I mean? I LOVED Stolen Nights-- my review is set to go up on the 24th. It was FAB. I CAN'T WAIT TO READ THAT ONE! Oh, I'm totally glad to hear that. :D

  6. Great books this week. I haven't read any of Jessica Shirvington, but hear great things about her books. I know what you mean about too many books, I just can't seem to stop myself. Real Mermaids Don't Need High Heels sounds like a fun read. Happy reading.

    1. Thanks! I have heard good things about her books too. I can't either! But I can't tell you the last time I bought a book...It does! I do need to buy the first two in the series, though. You too! (:

  7. So many pretty books! They all sound fantastic, I'm considering buying Embrace but I always seem to talk myself away from it and get a different book instead. Hope you enjoy all of the new books you've received

    1. They're absolutely gorgeous! :D Hehe, actually, if I was in a B&N, this wouldn't have been the first one that I would grab, if you know what I mean. ;) I hope that I do too! (:

    2. There are just too many amazing sounding books out there that draw my attention away from Embrace, I'll probably end up buying it eventually (Maybe when the whole series is over and nobody talks about it anymore because I am that behind on popular books lol!)

    3. I know! That's me, LOL. If I'm in a bookstore, chances are I'm going to grab a book that I'm just DYING to read. Not one that I'd like to read, ya know? LOL! I'm a bit like that too! It's fun, though. It means that you're the only one talking about it. ;)

  9. Hey hey hey! Look at that book - it used to sit on my shelf, now it sits on yours. It's beautiful! ;) haha Ok I have to say, I LOOOOOVED "The Brides of Rollrock Island". Dunno if you've read it yet, but OMIGOSH ALL THE FEELS. IT was so strange and dramatic and full of revenge and intense emotion...GAH! It was gorgeously written, too! Can't wait to read your thoughts about it!

Anyways girly, GREAT haul this week! Love this!

    1. Teehee! I know, right? It's so exciting to see your book on another person's shelf, don't you think? (: Ooh! That's good to hear, because I really haven't read any reviews on it...but it looks FAB. No, I haven't. o_O I'm a little behind on the book reading front. ;) EE! Now I really CAN'T WAIT to read it! :D

      Thanks! (:
