The Sugar Queen by Sarah Addison Allen

A tale about life, filled with magic. Josey and Adam are both well written, believable characters. Chloe and Della Lee are great, too. What really makes this story enchanting though, is the beautiful way all the points of view in the stroy seem to come together, and the way that it's obviously magic, without stretching too far the boundaries of realism. This is the only writer I've seen (so far) who can do this in every book without seeming too forced. Josie and Adam's relationship progresses subtly and slowly, and that's part of what makes this book a winner. No Rush. They're great together in a way that doesn't need to be defined.
